Man Killed in Car Crash MIDDLETON

A young Madison man was killed and a teenage girl seriously injured early Sunday in a one-car crash on Highway 12 about a mile north of here. William K. Aberg, 20, of 443 Doncaster Dr., driver of the car, was dead on arrival about 5:30 a.m. at Madison General Hospital. Patricia Kimberly, 16, of 1845 Jenifer St., Aberg's passenger, was reported in "satisfactory" condition Monday with internal injuries and a broken leg at St. Mary's Hospital. Dane County Deputy Coroner Donald Scullion said Aberg apparently lost control of the vehicle while traveling south and slid sideways into a utility pole. Scullion said the pole crashed half-way through the car from the driver's side, pinning both occupants for. several minutes before county traffic officers could free them. The fatality was the 34th traffic death in Dane County this year.
