Connell, Thomas, Age 47, of South Weymouth Jan. 1, 2003. He is survived by the mother of his children Diane S. (McDonough) Connell of Abington. Loving father of Jared Thomas Connell and Julia Veronica Connell both of Abington. Beloved son of John F. Connell Sr. of Limerick, Ireland and the late Mary Grace (Loud) Connell. Devoted brother of John F. Connell Jr. of Norwell, Michael J. Connell of Salem, MA, David B. Connell of Framingham and Stacey A. Connell of Holbrook. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the SOUTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Monday at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting Hrs. Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Interment will be at a later date. Late Truck Driver for J.M. Perrone Printing Co., Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Thomas E. Connell Scholarship Fund C/O South Shore Savings Bank, 1530 Main St., South Weymouth, MA 02190.

Same day as my brother David. I remember visitors at wake saying they were going over to McDonald’s funeral home from Sheppard funeral home. Skiing accident incident I remember in nh. Or Maine? Ran track&field with his brother John,hi John, from Winthrop Maine… so sorry to see mikes obit here also. From fellow wild cat alumni… my condolences to all family members! Chow4now. Connell, Michael, Age 62, of South Weymouth August 15, 2018. Michael passed unexpectedly in the State of Maine. “Mike” Connell was a graduate of Weymouth South High Class of 1973. Mike was active in sports. Playing football, baseball. And promoted his brother Tom’s charity softball games.
Michael was the beloved son of John F. Connell Sr. of Limerick, Ireland and the late Mary Grace (Loud) Connell. Devoted brother of John F. Connell Jr. of Norwell, David B. Connell of Framingham and Stacey A. Connell of Holbrook. Also brother of Thomas Connell who passed in 2003. Michael was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maureen A. (Dwyer) of Marshfield passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 13th, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Maureen was born and raised in S. Weymouth and has been a Marshfield resident for 30 years. She taught preschool at the Steeple School in Marshfield for several years. Maureen was President of the Seaside Garden Club and co-chair of the Special Education Advisory Council, both in Marshfield. She is survived by her partner; Shannon M. Donovan of Marshfield, her father; John Dwyer Sr. of Leesburg, FL, three children; Sara, Kevin and Cory Milton all of Marshfield, five siblings; Kathleen Dwyer of S. Boston, Susan Radin of Hanover, Jacqueline O’Neil of Pembroke, John Dwyer of Norwell and Kevin Dwyer of Abington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Maureen was predeceased by her mother, Barbara (Faulkner) Dwyer. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 16th from 4-8PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate, a funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to the Cardinal Cushing School, 405 Washington St, Hanover, MA 02339.

I last saw Pete in brigham&womens hospital apparently shortly before his passing on this day 2010! I was the newspaper vendor there and would service patients rooms,hence how I saw his name on door and said, hey Pete. I seen a few alumni there, but Pete holds a special place in my heart, because I was the hero in a come from behind relay race,which won the meet against framington north in “72”.we went on undefeated season! Sadly when looking through my scrap book a few years ago, I saw that the shot put team swept the event that day, and Pete took first place! We won by 8 points! Shot putters get not much glory, but they won the meet for us! My condolences for not being able to share that with him in time,and for our loss of big Pete. Known him since jr. high, and brother Steve. Chow4now.

Jimmy died tragically in 1991 from a tree trimming accident in Weymouth. He was 36. He left behind his wife Nancy and his son Jason and daughter Megan. He was the state arborist for Rhode Island. He lived in Richmond Rhode Island at the time. He graduated from Umass Amherst with a degree in forestry management. He previously worked as a park ranger in the town of Weymouth. He was very involved in Demolay as a teenager. He is buried in Pine Hill Cemetary in Bridgewater.

I knew Jim since junior high, so. Wey. Was sad to see his obit on his 38 th bday in 93, which I still have and just recently found again, and thought I would google his wife Nancy, which led me to this web page of our deceased “wild cats”.alumni. I think I might have found you Nancy in Hanover ? Will reach out by calling number on my google search, or if not you, I can be reached at 207 395 5161… my deepest condolences. I lost my best friend Rita t Murray on 3/17/24. She was 65… I am 71. Live in Winthrop, Maine. Chow4 now !

Teammate of his in track&field, and I believe his son was a teammate of my son Jason in 91-93, coached by same coach, ed Meehan. Jason called him “gator” I remember Gary running the mile or 2 mile races…and he was the consummate teammate, being the cheer leader behind the scenes, supporting the”stars”! So sorry to see obit today,12/30/24… ken and I shared honors for best attendance in 6th. grade@ nevin school… lastsaw him at indoor flea market under shaws super market in Weymouth around 88 or 89? I know he grew up at corner of white& central street, because I would see him on my way to stellaterill park. Would often recall fond memories of Kenny. My condolences to family. Chow4now.
