James Feyerabend

Birth Date: 1954-12-06
Deceased Date: 2008-11-20
Obituary:
Jim Feyerabend was born December 6, 1954, in Caldwell, Idaho. His family moved to Ames in 1965. He finished high school in Ames and earned a computer science degree from Iowa State. Degree in hand, he began a prosperous career in Seattle and then Los Angeles. He enjoyed LA and loved going to the Santa Anita horse races.

Jim’s life was complicated by first juvenile diabetes and then multiple sclerosis. He was lucky to have a father whose feet hit the floor the minute Jim collapsed on the floor in a diabetic reaction. Diabetes did not keep Jim from a successful career, but later, when he developed MS, his medical complications became insurmountable. He spent his final years cared for by family.

Jim passed away in Camp Verde, AZ, on November 20, 2008. He willed his body to science in the hope that might help others.
