Michael Buckley

Birth Date: 2007-11-08
Deceased Date: 2021-06-20
Obituary:

Michael John Buckley, age 13 of West Haven and Shelton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his home in Shelton. Born in Milford on November 8, 2007, he was the loving and precious son to Patrick R. Buckley of Shelton and Paula Haschak and her partner Bryan Stasko of West Haven. Mikey had just graduated 8th grade and was to attend West Haven High School in the fall with his fellow friends and classmates.
Mikey was a son, grandchild, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Mikey had an undeniable bond with his mother. They went on many adventures together to Mystic, Quassy, playgrounds and movie nights with popcorn and chocolate milk. He also loved being his dad's side kick with firehouse activities and everything he did and created so many memories with him throughout his 13 years of life! He had a love for his entire family but especially for his little cousin, John Michael. Mikey has the best mommy and daddy who love him more than words could ever explain... he was their baby. He also loved playing with nerf guns... he always got you when you least expected it and enjoyed building forts. He was a quiet one till you got him talking and he was always just so mature and enjoyable to have a conversation with. Mikey was so smart and wise beyond his years.
In addition to his devoted parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, John and Kathy Haschak of West Haven, paternal grandmother, Jane Kunkel and her husband Paul of Shelton, paternal great-grandmother, Selma Lapides and step-grandmother, Laurie Halko Buckley of Monroe, along with her extended family that were very close to Michael. He is also survived by his uncle, Christopher Haschak, his partner Maggie Johnson and her son Matthew of Monroe, and his aunt, Melissa Orrino and her husband Nicholas of Bethany, and his cousins; Jessica Rowland and John Orrino. Along with many extended aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather John Buckley.
