Michael “David” Dobbins, 57, passed away Saturday October 25, 2014.
David was born on August 1, 1957 in Guilford County a son of Jackson Davis “J.D.” and Peggy (Brower) Dobbins. He was a 1975 graduate of High Point Central High School and earned a degree in Horticulture at Forsyth Technical Community College. He was employed at UNC-Charlotte in their Facilities Management Division
David had a love of life and adventure that compared to none. He enjoyed these adventures by way of his motorcycle, grey truck or pontoon plane. His love of travel sent him to many places like Maine, Alaska, Florida, Canada, England, traveled Route 66 and anywhere else he could camp, fish, and kayak along the way to enjoy nature at its best.
David was known for his rough exterior and being a hard worker, but for those who knew and loved him, knew him mostly for his big and generous heart.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by two sisters, Pamela Dobbins Stern and Anne Dobbins Compton and her husband, Johnny; nephew Howell Dobbins and his wife, Katie; many wonderful aunts and uncles and numerous cousins; and his beloved dog Rex.
