Erma Jean Galloway, 17, of 3006 E 18 1/2 Street, daughter of Odessa Galloway and Naomi Conner, died in an auto accident on Saturday, May 18, 1974. Services were held at McCallum High School. Erma was born on December 23, 1956, in Austin and laid to rest at the historic Burdett Prairie Cemetery in Montopolis, Travis County.

Erma and I were determined to go to prom! It's every girl's dream. Proms -- and weddings. We were so confident; so naive. So certain that our destiny was finally within our grasp. Next step, University of Texas - Austin. But God had other plans. We are in His hands. No matter how long we live, no matter the details -- successes and difficulties -- be assured that He loves us one and all; no one more than another.
