Marsha Glendora Ferguson, cherished sister, beloved aunt, and adored friend, died in her home on Friday, January 12, 2018. Although her passing was a shock to all who knew and loved her, she is remembered fondly for being full of life, energy, and joy. Marsha was born on July 3, 1956, in Germany to a military family and lived across the U.S. until the family finally settled in Marina, California. She graduated in 1974 from Seaside High School and later earned a degree in Administration of Justice from Sacramento City College in 1979. During her 30-year professional career in law enforcement, Marsha served in several cities, counties, and agency departments around California. Marsha loved welcoming friends and family into her home. Everyone who visited her was graced with funny, doting stories while she shared cherished mementos of her parents and her family history; she prided herself as being the family archive holder. She was an avid collector of clocks, coins, antiques and more. She was also a Renaissance Faire enthusiast, regularly inviting others to dress up in her countless costumes and attend festivals. She enjoyed movies, books, music, traveling, and making 'Hott Mess" mac and cheese. At the time of her passing, Marsha was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Charles Ferguson. She is survived by brother Marty Ferguson; sister Maralene Ferguson Bates; nieces Vashti Ferguson, Adiellah Bates, Tasheena Adams, Khadijah Bates, Taibrie Ferguson, and Malaika Bates; nephews Terrell Ferguson, Ashur Bates, and Kofi Bates; and 10 grandnieces and grandnephews.

Marsha was a member of the Seaside High School band. I remember her fondly. So sorry to see that she has passes. RIP my fellow musician.
