From The Californian, September 16, 1982: Michael K. Johnson of Pacific Grove, self-employed landscaper and seasonal fisherman, died Tuesday, September 14, 1982, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital from injuries received in a vehicle accident. He was 25. Mr. Johnson was hurt Monday when he was ejected from a pickup near Arroyo Seco and struck his head, authorities said. A native of Frankfurt, West Germany, Mr. Johnson lived on the Monterey Peninsula since 1967. He graduated from Seaside High School and attended San Jose State University. At the time of this publication, he was survived by his parents, Ronald and Clare Johnson of Salinas; and three brothers, Mitchell of Pacific Grove, Edward of San Jose and Charles of Salinas. Burial will be in El Carmelo Cemetery.
