3 eggs
1 box light brown sugar (16 oz)
1 ½ strips of oleo, melted (use microwave)
2 ¾ cups flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla (add next-to-last)
12 oz pkg of Nestles choc bits (add last)
Butter the pan (18 x 12 x 1 jelly roll pan)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Beat 3 eggs with electric mixer.
Add brown sugar (not all at once.)
Meanwhile, combine flour, baking powder, salt
Add in the dry ingredients slowly and alternately
with the melted butter/oleo.
Add the vanilla.
Add the chocolate bits.
Mixture will be stiff; beaters will strain to mix it.
(Consistency much like that of peanut butter)
Pour into large cookie sheet/jelly roll pan.
Spread into corners with wet metal spatula or flat knife.
Don’t worry if there are holes or very thin spots; they will fill in during baking.
Bake 13-18 minutes (ovens vary; note the correct time for your own oven. Mine is 15 minutes.)
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
