I’m guessing that most of my classmates don’t remember or didn’t know Bonnie. If I have it right, she transferred to Acalanes as a Junior. I had the good fortune to sit next to her in an English class our senior year. She was funny and smart and personable. I enjoyed her a lot. Bonnie died in an accident on the last day of class before Christmas break in 1972. I learned about her death when returning to classes in January, by which time the funeral was over and her family was left to grieve for the remainder of their lives. If there was one thing I could tell them it was that they had a beautiful daughter and I would not forget her. And I haven’t.
