Comment: Who knew you could make a living figuring out how and why things break.

After AHS, attended CU for a few years, but night skiing at Lake Eldora and hiking the Flatirons were too much distraction. Eventually followed my parents to Houston and got a job in a Shell research lab doing failure analysis. That’s where the light bulb flicked on – I found my calling. Went back to school at UT Austin among other TX universities and have been doing the failure analysis thing ever since; primarily as a consultant. Switched from motorcycles to bicycles while at CU and still ride although now, I mostly do mtn biking. At UT I found whitewater and wilderness canoeing and now paddle Surfski. Flew small airplanes for awhile and actually took lessons from Danny Bellas.

My daughter and husband moved from TX to New York City then to New Hampshire where she’s attending graduate school in geology following in the footsteps of my Dad and sister.

After AHS attended CU Boulder, dbl major Math/Physics. Then four years USMC infantry officer. Close to 20 years with Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin (mostly Denver but also Idaho Falls and Sunnyvale).

Two years as Technical Advisor to the Director of MDA. Living in DC and working at the Pentagon Navy Annex on 9/11.

Followed by Boeing (DC and Huntsville), Davidson Technology (Huntsville) and Raytheon (Tucson). Retired 2014. Decided to settle in Santa Barbara for retirement in 2017. Pretty wild and rewarding career.

Comment: HI! I was hoping to make the reunion this year, but as it turns out, some members of my husband's family will be visiting us from Germany, so I will be staying here in New Mexico to serve as their hostess and guide. I wish you all a wonderful reunion!

My life has been a series of twists and turns. After graduating from high school, I attended school in Norway and then a year at CU in Boulder. After that, I became interested in herbal medicine and natural healing. I attended and graduated from The California School of Herbal Studies and returned to Boulder where I met my first husband who was the founder of White Wave Soy Foods in Boulder. Together, we went to Santa Cruz, CA and started a company called Clearway, where we manufactured health food and herbal products. During that time, I began my studies in massage and alternative healing. After four years, our marriage had run its course and I returned to the mountains outside of Boulder.

Upon returning, I met my current husband who is from Germany. We have been married for 38 years. He is a professional musician and a founding member of the Colorado band, "Leftover Salmon". He toured a lot nationally and we spent a lot of time either apart, or on the road together. Eventually, that lifestyle took it's toll on both of us and our marriage. He decided to leave the band and we settled in the mountains above Boulder.

Not sure what to do next, we became interested in trading the financial markets from home, and began trading and learning everything we could. My husband learned computer programming to supplement the software that was available at that time, and before long, we founded a software company called,"Alchemy Trading Technologies" providing trading software and strategies for traders.

During that time, I furthered my education in healing work and became a certified, licensed massage therapist. I had a private practice for 20 years. In addition, I also became involved with KGNU radio in Boulder, hosting two different radio shows for a period of 4 years. I also pursued writing, and co-authored a book entitled, "Soulmates with Paws, Hooves and Wings". In 2019, I published a book entitled "The Spirit of Everything".

In 2021, due to several wildfire evacuations, and the population boom in Boulder, we decided to move to New Mexico, where we now live in the mountains south of Santa Fe. There is a wonderful artist community here. I am spending my time painting, which is another passion of mine. We live with our dog and two kitties.
