The Arapahoe High School Senior Graduating Class of 1974. It's fun and interesting to read through all the names. Some I meet in grade school (Franklin Elementary), some at Newton Jr. High, and of course at AHS.

Miss Ravin's 5th grade class at Carl Sandberg Elementary: I think that nine or more of us will be at the 50th AHS Reunion. These are the oldest friends that I recall.

Mr Johnson's 6th grade class at Carl Sandberg Elementary: I have always been thankful that Mr Johnson's was my all-time best teacher. Ten--fifteen of us will be at the AHS reunion, having been classmates for eight years.

Was a member of Future Business Leaders of America all 3 years of high school. Have a lot of fond memories of meetings. This picture was from the state convention. Mrs. Blanche Martin was our teacher/sponsor. She had a tremendous influence on me and how I proceeded in my career. She and I stayed in touch for many, many years after high school was over. Mette Dahlberg, one of my closest friends, was in the club with me, top right on the left side of Mrs. Martin.

I still have this little number, called a "Sizzler", that I made and wore to school our senior year. It's 29" long from shoulder at neck to hem. Yup, we wore 'em short back then. My oldest sister, Linda, made one of these first and she still has the pattern!

Here is another picture of the Mime group. That was so much fun! ( I remember Katy with her underwater skit!) We performed all over the place. That group was definitely one of the highlights of being at AHS. Left to right: Barb Hrivnak (Long), Scott Eldridge, Katy Romary, Ron Lembke, me, Beth Massey, Jody Stewart, and our sponsor Mr. Anderson

I was a member of the AHS Mimes pantomime troupe in my junior and senior years. We gave an annual student performance near the end of the school year in the theater. One skit started with me in the "beetle bug" position, head down, and alone on the stage floor. I remember thinking it was taking a really long time for the other troupe members to join me onstage to begin the skit. Then I heard some snuffling around my right ear, joined by audience laughter. I didn't move a muscle. I could hear my fellow Mimes calling from offstage as they tried to coax a DOG, that had wandered into the school, off the stage. Some exterior door must have been propped open and lunch preparation odors probably lured the dog inside. With the pooch safely offstage, we were able to start the skit.
