After high school I attended CSU and graduated with a degree in technical journalism with a minor in history in 1978. I worked for a number of newspapers and publications in Colorado and Wyoming. Dissatisfied with the direction journalism was taking, however, I ended this part of my career, but continued to work as a contract writer until 2022. Throughout my career I applied my writing, editing, photography, marketing, and management skills to a number of businesses including three privately owned engineering firms and two museums. My only child, Cody, was born in Wyoming, but passed at 8.5 months of SIDS. My marriage went with him. I retired in 2019 following the death of my parents. I had planned to start traveling in 2020, but the pandemic hit. I recently rebooked a Rhone River cruise in France for November 2025 and have other trips on the books. In early March I met with our AHS class president Pam (Goodloe) Hallowell to start planning our 50th reunion and became the manager. The reunion committee and I have worked diligently to nail down all the details for our reunion events. In addition to Pam and me, the reunion committee members are: Mari Ellis, Chuck King, Patti Donald, Curt Stubbs, Scott Eldredge, Miles Barrett, and Carl Spangler. I am sincerely thankful to them all!! I was SO looking forward to catching up with '74 classmates after chatting with so many of you on the phone during the committee's quest to find y'all. Unfortunately, I had a major heart attack (genetics and stress) on Sept. 4 and wasn't sprung from the ICU until Sept. 9. So while I attended a little bit of three reunion events, I didn't have the energy or breath to speak very long with anybody. I'm really unhappy about this. So, don't be surprised if I contact some of you just to touch base. Wishing everyone a decent New Year! Remember this site will close down after April 2, 2025. -Barb |

Life in Minneapolis while still working, enjoying four wonderful grandchildren and being close to 93-year-old parents is always busy. I hope to retire soon, and will be back to visit Denver, a bit of family that is still there, and of course my dear old friends before too long. Happy 50th to all! | |

Graduated from CSU in Business/Finance. First job out of college was with Digital Equipment Corp in Colorado Springs which led to a fascinating 40 year career in high tech with companies that included Maxtor, Adaptec, Mylex, IBM, LSI and NetApp. After 13 yrs with Digital, I relocated to Niwot, CO (Lake Valley) where I reside as a primary residence today. For the last 8 yrs, my wife and I have been snowbirds in Tucson, AZ. We have 2 children and 3 wonderful grandchildren (now picture). Although my job allowed me to travel all over the world for business, I still enjoy traveling, but now it is on my terms. Golf, tennis, cycling, hiking and rock climbing consume my leisure time. Being happy and healthy is a profound and fortunate blessing. Wishing all of my classmates the same and am looking forward to seeing you. |

I never left the pool…I coached for 35 years, swam Masters on & off (briefly had a world record) & had several swimming related businesses. I was married from 40 yrs old to 50 yrs old. No kids. For many years we were too busy traveling (she was a flight attendant). Then her dad died & our world collapsed. Health is good. Life is good. |
