Peggy Lynn Ostinett, 19, a May graduate of Cazenovia College ,died July 12 in an automobile accident in Chittenango. Miss Ostinett was driving north on Bolivar Rd in the rain about 6:45 a.m. when her car left the road, crashed through a guardrail and went into the Erie Canal.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Ostinett of Erieville and was a secretary for Reliance Electronics Co. of Syracuse. At Cazenovia College's Commencement May 29 she received the Baldwin Secretarial Award. She was a 1974 graduate of Cazenovia High School where she was an honor student.
She was born in Athens, Greece and had lived in Erieville for seven years. She is survived in addition to her parents by three sisters, Karen, Susan and Janet Ostinett, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private services were held. Burial was in the Welsh Church Cemetery, East Nelson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Box 56, Cazenovia.
