Hello CHS Class of 1983!
We wanted to send out a reminder of an opportunity to donate to a scholarship in the memory of the classmates we have lost, whose names are listed below.
How do I donate?
Our donations will go to the “Alumni Scholarship” fund with the Centerville Education Foundation (http://centervilleeducation.org), which is a scholarship our class set up after our 20-year reunion. We are one of only two classes in the history of CHS that have set up a donation and maintained that donation to the Education Foundation and to our current CHS grads so that is something very noteworthy!
Who Can Qualify?
The scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating senior who has a 3.0+ grade point average and has attended Centerville High School all four years. All applicants submit an essay stating how they plan to be good ambassadors of Centerville High School by becoming responsible and motivated citizens. We will post information in the spring about the graduating CHS senior who is selected to receive the Alumni Scholarship.
How does my donation get shared with the Foundation?
We will be making a combined “Class of 1983” contribution to that scholarship fund this year, from all of us, in memory of the classmates we’ve lost. 100% of your contribution will go to the scholarship. If you’d like to donate, there are two ways to do so:
