SOOY, Dovie Jill age 49 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 1, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton. Born September 21, 1964, in Takoma Park, MD. Dovie was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone who knew her. Dovie is survived by her mother and step-father Joelle and Ed Vegso; her father and step-mother Norman and Barbara Sooy; children Justin Emrick, Amanda Emrick, and Tony (Kala) Emrick; brother Norman Sooy and sisters Monica Sooy, Lisa (Joel) Cary, and Melanie (John) Kain; step-brothers Greg Wasmund, Todd (Tracy) Wasmund, and Kirk (Misi) Wasmund; grandson Bentley Emrick; Devoted companion Norman Wildenhaus; former husband David Emrick; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. All will cherish their memories of Dovie. Private services to be held at a later date. The family is so very grateful to the doctors and nurses associated with Five Rivers Health Centers and the Hospice staff for their never ending care and concern.
