Arthur E. Stepp, 29, of 1236 65th St. died at home Friday of asphyxiation by carbon monoxide poisoning. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of Nazareth Catholic Church, and burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. The death was ruled a suicide by Dr. R.C. Wooters, Polk County medical examiner.

Mr. Stepp was a lifelong Des Moines resident and was a sales consultant for Des Moines Chrysler Plymouth. He had been a member of the Catholic Church and Izaak Walton League.

Surviving are his wife, Denise; his mother. Bernice Stepp, and a sister, Linda Peterson, both of Des Moines, and five brothers, Eugene. Charles, Danny and David, all of Des Moines, and William of Cottage Grove, Minn.

Friends may call after 1 p m. today at South town Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.
