Comment: A couple of years after graduating my family moved to Atlanta GA. There I graduated from Georgia State U. and went to work in public accounting, where I met my wife, Melissa. Moved to the SF Bay Area, eventually settling in Alameda CA where we raised our two sons. In California I worked in banking, then moved to high tech. Upon retiring in 2017 Melissa and I moved to Tucson AZ. Since escaping the working world, I have focused on my insect collecting hobby (which I started as a result of Ferris High School sophomore biology). I am presently an associate of the Hasbrouck Insect Collection at Arizona State U. |

Comment: The wonderful group photo is from 1994 (20th reunion). I have lived in Las Vegas since 1978. After graduating from the University of Washington, I worked at an ad agency, in radio commercial sales, television ad sales and management and opened my own ad agency. I enjoy sports, art and watching television. Seeing the UW Huskies play in the National Championship game was fantastic. It is fun cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders and our Vegas Golden Knights, especially when they won the Stanley Cup. "Postcards from Earth" and the "U2" concert, at the Sphere were highlights recently. I've been with Ed since 1978. We enjoy a happy life together. We just moved out of our last home after forty years. Now we live in Sun City Summerlin, in northeast Las Vegas. I still have fond memories of Expo'74. |

Occupation: | Economist |
Comment: After graduating from UW, I earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. I learned that those of us from the Pacific Northwest call Chicago "back East," but nobody in Chicago thinks they are in the East! Now I do live in the East in Maryland and am still active doing social policy research at the Urban Institute, a DC-based nonpartisan think tank. Here I am with my wife of 33 years, Laura, at the World Series in DC. |

Comment:
My wife Kathi and I have been married for 47 years. We married three years after meeting while both working at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Spokane in 1973. We still celebrate many family occasions at Old Spaghetti Factories whenever there is one near where we are. Our two sons are 46 and 39, and our three grandchildren are 19, 18, 17. Following graduation from Eastern Washington University, I’ve worked 46 years in the financial services industry in many roles with several banks and as a bank consultant in Spokane, San Francisco, Boise, and Portland. In 2008, I was a co-founder of Western Capital Bank, a commercial bank headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Following the acquisition of Northwest Bank of Lake Oswego, Oregon, in 2012, we adopted the Northwest Bank name, which the bank is known as today. Branches are located in Boise, Seattle, Coeur d’Alene, and Salt Lake City. I am currently continuing my role as the corporate secretary for Northwest Bank on a part-time/semi-retired basis. Kathi is retired from a career as a junior high and high school teacher, vice principal, principal, and district administrator. We’ve loved vacationing at the Oregon Coast, traveling to see family, and traveling elsewhere as much as possible. I consider myself very fortunate to have had a quality educational experience in Spokane Public Schools and at Ferris High School. I am grateful for the teachers and administrators from that experience. |
