The Gladstone Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund is an annual campaign that raises money for local charities. For 2024, Mayor Tina Spallo has selected Feed Northland Kids, Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Northland Christmas Store as the fund's recipients. Please join Mayor Spallo in supporting these three wonderful organizations!

• Feed Northland Kids — Feed Northland Kids fights food insecurity in Clay and Platte counties by providing children nourishment they need to grow, learn and thrive. For elementary students, they supply BackSnacks (an assortment of kid-friendly items) in partnership with Harvesters. In middle and high schools, they stock Pantries with ready-to-eat food and snacks. And they serve entire families with Community Food Kits, which feature non-perishable staples, fresh produce and ground beef.
  
  

• Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors — Since 1999, Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors has helped needy Gladstone homeowners-- especially seniors and veterans--with a variety of neighborhood programs including home repairs, weatherization and maintenance.  Without this help, many would not be able to stay in their homes.

• The Northland Christmas Store - Established in 1988 by local organizations, The Northland Christmas Store  is a 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to providing aid at Christmas time to Clay County individuals and families in need. The goal of the organization is to see that each person or family has ample food, cleaning supplies, and toiletries for the holiday and that each child has gifts to open on Christmas morning.
