Earnton "Dane" Guy

Earnton Guy was born September 17, 1931 in Southaven, Mississippi. He was the second child of the late Alonzo and the late Callie Guy. Mr. Guy confessed a hope in Christ at an early age while attending Phoenix AME Church located in his hometown.
As a young man, Earnton met Katherine Harris and they wed. The two were married over fifty two years. They raised their family in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Guy supported his family being employed at Riveria Foods. He continued his service there for forty three years.
Mr. Earnton Guy was a soft spoken man. He was very observant of issues in the community, nation, and world. Earnton was truly a family man and his great grandchildren were the apples of his eyes.
On Monday, November 21; Earnton Guy departed this life to be at rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Katherine; his children: Frankie (Rev. George) Faulkner, Rev. Ronald (Darlene) Guy, Shelia Guy Ross, and Keith Guy all of Memphis, TN; grandchildren: Jada, Ronald Jr., Tashena, and Taleesa; great grandchildren: Jamarvelous, Jamya, and Jakayla; his stepmother Allie Guy; his siblings: Ulysses (Jessie) Guy, Norma Jean (Rev. Leonard) Chilton both of Ft. Worth, TX, John Henry (Betty) Guy, and Esther M. Guy both of Memphis, TN; his in-laws John Gillespie, Sr., Sidney Harris, John (Dorothy) Harris, Annette (Tommy) Washington, Beverly Harris, Rev. Charles (Phyllistine) Harris, and a host of other family members and friends.
