Declaring Our History
This section is dedicated to our past, present and future. It is to share the stories and pictures of our ancestors from generations past that will be carried into generations future.
Tell it with pride and reverence. Tell it with continued hope, that families of the McKeowns, Keowns, Hubbards, Tolberts, Browns and Bush, who gathered every year in Brooksville, Mississippi in 1891; will learn of their connection to this (Mc)Keown Family Reunion and will ensure a legacy that will continue for another 133 years!
So many faces! So many places! Some of our most respected family members initiated a journey to capture as much information about the reunion and how it began. This became a mission and personal journey until their deaths. It is with much gratiitude that we say Thank you!
Without the strength and tenacity, determination and sheer will, the Mckeown-Keown-Hubbard-Tolbert Brown and Bush Families, began an annual reunion which has existed from 1891 util present day. This is not a story that can be shared by many families; Black or White! However, we can share and tell it with pride because, this is who were are!!
