Greetings! We created this page to organize the potential 2025 family reunion on Lake Powell in Arizona. This homepage is public. All other pages are private and require a login to protect our privacy. Just click here and then click 'Register' to create a login.
If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please click on the menu hamburger (3 hortizontal lines) in the upper right and leave a message in the Guestbook that you are interested and how many adults and children. This is not a committment, just an estimate of how many people might be interested. If we get enough people interested, we will continue researching the trip and connecting with the interested individuals. Then, the first payment (50% deposit) would be due by 6/30/2024. Final payment would be due 12/31/2024. More details below. Please pass this on to other family members and help drum up excitement. www.MaguireFamilyReunion.com
Who: Maguire family
What: 5 day Houseboat trip on Lake Powell
Where: Wauhup Marina, near Page, AZ which is at the Utah/Arizona border.
When: August 4th to August 8th, 2025
How: You fly to one of these airports and drive to the marina the day/night before departure. Here are the driving times from each airport:
Page AZ - 15 minutes (only available on Contour Airlines from Phoenix)
St. George UT - 2.5 hours
Flagstaff, AZ - 2.5 hours
Las Vegas - 4.5 hours
Pheonix - 4.5 hours
What's the Cost? Our current estimate is $1,000 per person, not including airfare or ground transportation. Once we get an idea of how many people, we will get a more accurate number.
What's included? Your ticket includes 5 days/4 nights on a houseboat, food (breakfast, snacks, dinner) and drinks, activities (power boat, jetski, water toys), campsite fee, supplies, and gas for the boat. You would be responsible for the cost of airfare and ground transportation to get to and from the marina.
Where do I sleep? The boat has 4 private bedrooms each with a queen bed. It also has 4(?) pull out beds that are non-private. Couples should have bedrooms to maximize efficiency.
Click here to see the bedrooms.
Bathroom? Yes, each boat has 2 bathrooms with showers and toilet. Click here to see the bathrooms.
Weather? This is the desert. It's hot in August, like 90-100 degrees. However, the boat has central A/C and you can swim or play in the lake during the day. There is also no humidity and overnight the temp drops down into the 70's.
How do we eat? We will come up with menus for each day. All food is brought on the boat and meals have to be prepared on the boat. There is a full size kitchen. We will probably ask in advance for volunteers to cook certain meals.
How many people per boat? Up to 12
Is this safe for kids? Yes. See here.
Who's driving the boat? Each boat will need a captain, who is the driver. The rental company will give full instructions at the marina on how to operate the boat and boat safey. Here's a preview.
Is there 4G or Wifi? We may bring a Starlink RV dish so there will be Wifi. Without Wifi, cell reception is little to none.
