Charles McClary
Charles "Sonny" McClary was the eighth child of Charles McClary's fourteen children, and lived 8/16/1897 to 10/26/1947.
Born in the the Cedar Swamp Community, most of his adult life was spent in Kingstree. South Carolina. He attended South Carolina State College until his enlistment in World War 1.
He married Merie Wilson and had a family of eight children. He was employed by the Kingstree Highway Department until illness forced his retirement. He served as as Sunday School Superintendent, Class Leader and Trustee of Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church.
