Lawrence 'Larry' Fraser, 56, of Newport News, Va., died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011.
Mr. Fraser was the owner of 1st Choice Home Repairs and Maintenance. It was his love of 'tinkering' that led him to the home repair business. Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Fraser owned a Pepperidge Farm Bread route. Larry was an avid boater and fisherman on the James River for many years, but his love for Harley's and riding took over. Larry took great pride in his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and often bragged that 'if it can be chromed, it will.'
Mr. Fraser is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Hancock Honeycutt; and father, Dr. Hugh Ross Fraser.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Lamb Fraser; son and daughter, David and Andrea Walton; sister, Pam Fraser Jasper (Tim) of Newport News; uncles, Dr. Philip 'Sonny' Hancock (Sue), Cecil 'Butch' Hancock (Barbara); step-siblings, David Honeycutt (Amy), Gina Honeycutt Croissant (James), Johnny Honeycutt (Rita); nieces, Jennifer Marie Crisp and Victoria Leigh Crisp. Larry leaves behind a host of wonderful friends, neighbors, loyal customers, business associates, and extended family.
