FHS - Steven Keith Baines, 45, of the 1700 Block of Middle Swamp Rd., died Wed., Nov 24, 1999 in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. Mr. Baines was born in Newport News. He was a correctional officer at St. Bride's Correctional Institute in Chesapeake, a member of Parker's United Methodist Church, the Corapeake Hunting Club, the Police Benevolence Association and the Virginia Government Employee's Association.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Garman Baines; his mother, Norma Jones Baines of Newport News; and three brother, Dennis Lee Baines and Barry Kendall Baines of Yorktown and Kevin Wayne Baines of Gloucester. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lee Baines and his sister, Glenda Faye Baines.
