Jesse "Beany" Alphonzo Hogan, 44, departed this life on Feb. 27, 1999, at Hampton General Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Newport News and a graduate of Ferguson High School. He leaves to cherish his memory five daughters, Tamara and Terrie Hogan, Okeema and Monique Ruffin, and Nicole Patrick; one son, Damion White; his mother, Mary Nannette Washington; four brothers, Eric Hogan, Kenneth Hagman, Jerome Gray and Sgt. Ernest A. Washington, and his wife, Susan; three sisters, Dione (De-De) Washington, Ernestine Drew, and Rachelle (Lynn) VanBuren, and her husband, Rick; grandsons, Sherman Looney and Tyreeque Ruffin; and a host of other relatives and friends
