Rodney B. Flowers NEWPORT NEWS Rodney Blayne Flowers, 42, lifelong Newport News resident, died Sunday, May 4, 1997. Mr. Flowers was a supervisor on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel Construction Project. He was a very gifted artist, especially in the arts of woodworking and glass- making. Survivors include his beloved fiancé, Rosa Leigh; his parents, R. Paige and Marva Jean Flowers of Newport News; two sisters, Marva Lynn Flowers of Newport News and Pamela Faye McReynolds of Williamsburg; two brothers, Michael DeWayne Flowers and Richard Allen Flowers, both of Newport News; his nephew, James Rodney; two nieces, Melissa Faye and Christina Elizabeth; and Lane Michael Perkins, whom Rodney loved so dearly.
