John Michael Farris, 39, died Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at Riverside Regional Convalescent. He was a native of Youngstown, Ohio, and had been a Peninsula resident for 37 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Denbigh High School and was retired from civil service as a plumber at Fort Eustis. Mr. Farris is survived by two daughters, Amy M. Farris and Wendy M. Farris, both of Newport News; one stepdaughter, Mandy L. Durben of Newport News; one stepson, Todd Durben of Newport News; one sister, Mary C. Ward of Newport News; one brother, Leo C. Farris of York County; one grandson, Michael J. Farris of Newport News; and his loving former wife, Sharon L. Farris.
