NEWPORT NEWS - Douglas S. Brown, 35, died Friday, Dec. 22, in Riverside
Regional Medical Center.
A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Brown was a lifelong Peninsula resident. He
was employed by Colonial Sales of Elizabeth City, N.C., as military accounts
manager. He was formerly employed by Food Fair, Pantry Pride and Super
Fresh as a produce manager for 16 years. Mr. Brown was a member of Central
United Methodist Church, Hampton.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Harness Brown; a daughter, Amy Marie
Brown of the home; a son, Douglas Steven Brown of the home; his father,
Harold S. Brown Sr., and his mother, Gladys M. Brown, both of Newport
News; two sisters, Joyce Milton of Newport News and Brenda Brush of
Walpole, N.H.; and a brother, Harold S. Brown Jr. of Newport News
