Bruce Carroll Norvell, 49, died Sunday, March 6, 2005. He was a longtime resident of the Peninsula and a Chester resident for the last six years. Bruce was a member of the Riversbend Golf Club, where he exercised his love for golf. He was employed by Eley's and tended bar at Mike's Place in Newport News and later became a sales representative for Valspar Corporation. Bruce had a keen sense of humor that will be missed by all. Survivors include one son, Bryce Guy Norvell, and his mother, Marti Whittle, both of Chester; his parents, Ann and Berkley Norvell Jr. of Newport News; twin sisters, Becky Norvell and Bonny Norvell Durben and her husband, Michael, all of Newport News; and extended family and friends.
