John David Honeycutt, 62, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. "David" was born in Newport News, but made Smithfield his home. He graduated from Menchville High School and later owned and operated Bi-Lo Auto Parts in Newport News and Hampton with his brother, Donald. David was preceded in death by his father, John B. Honeycutt, Jr. and brother Douglas Honeycutt. He is survived by his mother, Helen Helton Honeycutt; wife of 35 years, Martha Honeycutt; daughter, Holly South (Matt); son, John "J.D." Honeycutt, II; brother, Donald Honeycutt; sister-in-law, Sharon Honeycutt; nephew, Brandon (Christy) and son Hunter; nieces, Cristen Treu (Justin) and Kylesheen; and many other extended family members
