Edward Lee "Eddie Joyce, 47, died January 24, 2003 in his residence. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska and was computer specialist at Langley Air Force Base. He was member of Stevens Memorial Baptist Church, board member and web-master for Hampton Roads Community Sailing Center, member of Newport News Mayor's Committee on Disabilities, and member of PPO at Langley. He was an avid auto racing fan and loved history, especially from the Civil War era. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Leah Joyce. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Welliver Joyce; his parents, Francis and Loraine Joyce of Newport News; sister, Greta Joyce Alto and her husband, Lee of Gloucester; step-children, Lori Hodge of Orange Park, Florida, and Owen Hodge of St. Mary's Georgia; nieces, Shelby and Leah Alto; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Jeremy Hodge; sister-in-law, Anne Surratt of Staunton, VA; brother-in-law, Rupert F. Welliver of North Carolina; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
