James "Jim" H. Wingo, 65, died on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born January 17, 1955, in Virginia, to Rufus "R.J." James Wingo and Geraldine Veal Wingo. Mr. Wingo was a respiratory therapist for Cullman Regional Hospital, prior to his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and brother.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother: Ernest Wingo.

Jim was an exceptional guitarist who had his own blues band while still in high school. I can vividly recall sitting in his bedroom and listening to him shred on a sunburst Les Paul and a full stack of Marshall amps.
