(WHS) Marion Clifton "Cliff" Crisp

Marion Clifton "Cliff" Crisp went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of Friday, November 1, 2024. He was 69 years old.

Born on September 1, 1955, in Newport News, Virginia, Cliff was the beloved son of the late Eugene Warren Crisp and Maude Lee Kirkland Crisp. A 1973 graduate of Newport News High School/Warwick High School, Cliff pursued further education while serving as a Newport News Police Department Officer. Later, he transitioned into Sales and Marketing, working in the automotive and real estate industries in Newport News. Cliff also served as Marketing Director and then Director of Planning for I & O Medical Center.

A devoted member of First Friends Church in Hampton, Cliff had a beautiful voice and found great joy singing on the church's worship team.

Cliff is survived by his Loving and Devoted wife, Shirley Estep Crisp; his daughters, Jennifer Kirk (Jason) and Victoria Crisp (James); his son, Ronald Eugene Estep (Constance); and his grandson, Nicholas.

He is also survived by his brother, Robert “Bob” Coffey (Mary-Scott Turner Coffey), and their children: Robert “Ed” Coffey Jr. (Laura) and their children Robert III, Thomas, Abby, and Nora; Joseph Ellis Coffey (Kate) and their children Clara, Benjamin, and Isaac; and Dr. Katherine Coffey-Vega (Juan Vega).

In addition, Cliff leaves behind his sister, Sandra “Sandy” Lindsey, and nephews Bobby Gregory (Karen) and their daughters, Sarah Gregory and Heather Gregory Pelausa (Orion) and their son Orson; and Michael Gregory (Tammy) and his daughter Dessie Novotny (Joe), her son Robert James, and her daughter Elizabeth.

Cliff is also survived by his brother, Eugene Warren Crisp, Jr. and his son Stephen Crisp and his family, a daughter Julie Fairbanks and her family and another sister Joyce Riley and her family.

Cliff’s cousins, Winfred “Chuck” Furlough (Dee) and Ramona “Mona” Walker (Bob), also mourn his passing.

Cliff will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is now free from pain and suffering, embraced in the arms of our loving God.
