Carolyn, also known as CJ, was affectionately known & was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the way her life was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, David Stagemeyer, her brothers, Keith & Kevin Barnes, her daughters, Stacy Miller & Ashley Liufau, her step-daughter Joanne Rodriguez & step-son Eric Stagemeyer & their spouses, Kent Miller, Chris Liufau, Albert Rodriguez & Valerie Stagemeyer. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert & Margaret Barnes, two sisters Deborah D’Agostino & Kimberly Austin, one brother Douglas Barnes. She is survived by several grandchildren, Chandler Stagemeyer, Sydney & Katelyn Miller, Emma & Brooks Liufau, Malia & Piper Rodriguez.

Carolyn spent 30 years as a secretary at Eastern State Hospital where she met many life-long friends. She retired at the young age of 57 & spent 13 years doting on her grandchildren to whom she was lovingly known as “Nana”. She took an active role in their lives by playing games, dancing like no one was watching & rarely missing one of their events.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Although Carolyn’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
