Mr. Robert Emmitt Ryan, 32, died Saturday in Craven County Hospital, New Burn, N.C. He was born in Marysville, Calif.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam and a graduate of Menchville High School in 1973. Survivors include one son, Jerry R. Ryan of Havalock, N.C.; his father, Carl M. Ryan of Wake; one sister, Mrs. Sonja E. Cox of El Paso, Texas; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert E. Ryan of Newport News
