Richard C. "Rick" Crittenden died suddenly Sunday, September 9, 2007, at his home in Greer. He was a loving husband, father and son, an exceptionally skilled businessperson and a gifted musician. His time here was marked by a deep commitment to family, career and friendship.
He was born June 11, 1955, in Newport News, Virginia. Rick had a long love of the water and boats that began at an early age. 1955-04-26 2001-01-16Charlene Munn, 45, died Tuesday, Jan.16, 2001, peacefully, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Newport News, Mrs. Munn was a graduate of Ferguson High School and Kee Business College. She drove a school bus for the Newport News Public School Transportation Department and served as former vice president and president of Hines Middle School P.T.A. Mrs. Munn was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Crowell and bother, Lee Crowell. Mrs. Munn is survived by her husband, Larry F. Munn; her mother, Betty P. Crowell; and two sons, Jason Munn and Derek Munn.

Michael Roman Czarnecki "Mike", 66, slipped into that long good night on May 2, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. He will be missed by all he touched.
Michael was an Electrical Engineer graduate of Old Dominion University. After graduation he worked for Wyle Laboratories in various capacities. He then moved to Jacobs Technology, working at the National Transonic Facility at NASA Langley. Michael enjoyed many hobbies including traveling, fishing, and NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway.

Mr. John H. Dibble Jr. of 1122 Thisdell Lane, died Saturday at his home. He was born in Newport News and was employed by Newport News Shipbuilding. He graduated from Ferguson High School in 1973, served in the Armed Forces and attended Peninsula Business College.

Leahne D. Dunn, 66, of Newport News, VA passed away December 1, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wendell and Marlene Dutson; and great grandson Levi Timberlake.
Leahne was an avid baker, loved reading, and could always be found in her sewing room.
Leahne is survived by her husband, Jack W. Dunn; daughters, Elizabeth Dunn, Marissa Dunn, Meaghan Dunn, Heather Dunn, and Hailey Dunn; grandchildren, Micaela, Reilley, Aidan, Cole, and Faeryh. Leahne passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Robert Lee (Bobby) Edwards of Charlottesville, Virginia, 68, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2023. He will be remembered for his quick wit, genuine kindness, and tremendous love for his family and friends.
Bobby was born May 25, 1955, in Newport News, Virginia, to H. Lee Edwards and Minnie G. "Pat" Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Karen Jones Edwards of Charlottesville and her son, Ryan Cotton and his partner, Michael Baskowski, of Boston; sister, Nancy Edwards Foster and her husband, Stephen, of Newport News; and an extended family of cousins and lifelong friends.

Mr. Emerson was a native and longtime resident of Newport News. He was a very talented man, a 'jack of all trades'. He had a great love for the water and boating but most of all he loved his daughter Sarah.
