Class of '85 Memories

Submit a photo from your time at OHS along with a little bit of the story behind the photo. We hope this will be a virtual space where everyone can reminisce, whether you are able to come to the reunion or not!
BONUS! The reunion planning committee is creating a “Live from OHS” video that will be shared at the reunion and on this website.
Share a memory via a Zoom/in-person interview! We would love for you to be a part of the video by sharing your favorite memories in a videotaped (via Zoom/Meet/Teams) or in-person interview. Sign up with this Google Form to arrange a time for your video interview!

I really don't have a huge amount of memories from High School except for graduation, I went to a couple parties and stayed out until the morning. It was super fun, it made me wish I would have had the chance to get to know people. Cheri Dansky and I are still very close friends and we talk and text pretty much weekly. She's gotten me through some rough times, I'm really grateful for her, she's really the only person I'm close with from High School. Looking forward to the reunion, I'll be the one with the long red hair!!!!

After graduation, a group of us went up to my family's cabin in Grand County to rest, hike, talk, and just be. It was a wonderful way to end our time at OHS. Pictured here are: Mona Siegel, Julie Ihrig, Patty Garel, Kristi Bartelson, myself, and my dog Roo (RIP, she was the best).

Amy (Ismert) Hamilton, Heidi Pulcipher and Willa (Panvini) Vincitore at a photo shoot we won in a radio trivia contest. The night before the shoot was Senior Prom and none of us had been invited, so we had a sleepover, drowned our sorrows (laughed a lot), and then woke up and drove to the photo shoot to memorialize the moment.

This is Elli Golosow and I in our auto mechanics class senior year. We were the only 2 girls in the class. To pass, we had to take apart and put together a lawnmower engine and make it work. Pete Petrides was in our small group but his attendance was (ahem...) spotty (thanks, Pete!) -- To be safe, as Elli and I wrapped each engine part in paper towel and labeled it to help us know how to put it back together!

I don't have any pictures but I remember being woken up by my dad and told to look out the front window. Ok - so I look out and half a sleep, I think it snowed... and is still snowing - We live in Colorado dad -- why did you wake me up for this!!!! Until I noticed, pink snow, and baby blue snow and realized it was toilet paper!!! Hanging from our trees -- over 50 rolls of toilet paper -- I know -- cause I had to clean it all up!!! I also remember lots of parties in the cul-de-sac and Tressies black TransAM and my '65 bug named Slug!!!!

This is from a student council retreat - not sure which one! I'm on the far left, Cheri Dansky is next to me. I still remember the sweater I was wearing :) I loved the SC retreat from 1982-83 school year so much that we organized one when we were seniors. I still have the paper bag with classmate notes from that one!

Hope there is a statute of limitations.... Debbie James, worked at Baskin Robins and we had a cheerleader sleep over and we all decided in the middle of the night to use her key and go "break into" Baskin Robbins and get buckets of ice cream. We were scooping ice cream in the dark when the cops or someone we thought were the cops shined there car lights into the Baskin Robbins. We were terrified! We did enjoy the ice cream!
I also remember the amazing trip to a cabin with the Pom girls. You pom girls are so sweet! So glad I was a part of that.
