The Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County is excited to announce that we are once again participating in the Armstrong County Week of Giving, an annual event sponsored by the Armstrong County Community Foundation!
During the week of May 6 – May 10, all donations (over $25) donated to the Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County will be collected and used to calculate the amount of bonus funding that PWAC will receive from the Community Foundation’s Bonus Fund!
Donations received during the Week of Giving are used to directly benefit clients and employees served by the Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County. Donated funds are used to make necessary purchases, including equipment, uniforms, outings, and more!
The Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County, Inc. (PWAC) was formed in 1968 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to provide vocational rehabilitation services to people with disabilities. Various civic groups raised the money needed for the first year of operation. Currently, funding is obtained through the Behavioral and Developmental Health Program of Armstrong and Indiana Counties, the Office of Developmental Programs Waivers and fee-for service funding.
