So yesterday I was sitting outside being an Indian…
Listening to the chimes sing their song in the wind…
What I heard them saying brought me to deep thought…
We Indians have forgotten what the Ancient ones taught…
We were doing it right, when we prayed in our sweats..
Sitting naked on Mother Earth, unafraid of our deaths..
Drums pounding away, representing Mothers heartbeat..
Sweetgrass filling the air lifting prayers in the heat...
For the Nations that didn’t have Sweats… they had Mountains..
Rising Majestically above.. the Clouds swirling like fountains...

1965-01-12 2009-01-18ACelebration of The Life of Kelly Patricia Rand, 43, who went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2009, with her loving family around her, will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Celebration Christian Church, 1011 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach, with The Reverends Dave And Sonja Phillips Officiating. Mrs. Rand was born on January 12, 1965 to Winslow and Judy Williams in Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach. Mrs. Rand was a Sales Associate with Hudson Furniture, Ormond Beach and was the former Assistant District Commissioner for the Florida Youth Soccer Association. Mrs. Rand enjoyed the beach, animals and reading. Her biggest enjoyment was sharing time with her family....
