Funeral services were held at 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids, for Bruce A. Potratz, age 63, of Henning, who died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Bruce was born February 16, 1949 in St. Louis Park to Donald and Shirley (Damon) Potratz. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bruce worked for many years as a contractor. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Vikings and Wild. Bruce also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Being that Bruce was such a devoted sports fan, the family would like to encourage people to wear their favorite Vikings or Wild attire to the service. Survivors include his sons, Dustin of Sauk Rapids and Chad (girlfriend Kristin Hilsgen) Potratz of Ottertail; mother, Shirley (Bud) Rosen of St. Louis Park; grandson, Aeden,brothers and sister, Roger (Susan) Potratz of Mpls, Steve Potratz of Cedar City, UT and Candy LaRogue of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews.
