Janey Lynn Rattet Worth, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2005 with her family at her side. Janey grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Houston in 1976 and she considered it her true home. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ross Rattet Janey is survived by Marvin Worth, her children Angela and Brian Brener and Liza and Aaron Levine; grandsons: Jeremy and Noah Brener; parents: Florence Spira and Julian Rattet; siblings: Scott Rattet and Dwight and Chandra Rattet, and Lonnie VanderVorste; nieces and nephews: Stacey Flint, Zachary and Nicholas Rattet. Janey was known by her vivacious nature, outstanding outlook on life and her giving character. Everyone who knew her knew the truly special way she had about her. She lit up a room when she walked in; she was a gift to all that knew her. Janey was a loving friend who saw the fun in life and the beauty in each person she knew. Janey volunteered at Court Appointed Special Advocates of Houston, where she made a difference in the life of a very special girl, Nicole. She was a life member of Hadassah, volunteered to read for the blind and was a member of Congregation Beth Yeshurun. She worked at the Hair Club for Men, where she was honored as the employee of the year 2002. The family wishes to thank Dr. Jeri Kim and Pat Gleason at MD Anderson and the staff of Houston Hopsice, especially, Margaret Stone.
