Andrew Douglas Rush, died at the age of 72. He studied at the University of Minnesota and Denver University. A businessman and entrepreneur, Andy founded two Minnesota State Fair institutions: Heritage Square's Ice Cream Parlor (now the West End Creamery) and Flora's Mercantile Company. For most of his adult life he owned and ran Rush's Bridal Shop on Nicollet Mall. He loved to spend time outdoors and with his loved ones, appreciating good food and attending live music at the Dakota, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and wherever and whenever he could, really. An avid golfer, he hit two career "hole in one's."
