Agenda for the Day Rain or Shine

 

• 9 - 9:30 am Check-in/Registration 

• 9:30 am Walkers begin the route 

• Walk around the lagoon is approximately 2.5 miles and takes approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour to complete

• 10:30 - 11 am dog contests, K9 demonstrations and introduction of SPCA alumni dogs/families and walking teams (could start earlier if all walkers have returned from the walk)

• 11 am last call for raffle tickets (winners do not need to be present)

Other Details

 

• $5 for parking; pay stations available in parking lot or at ParkMobile (zone 2789 for Lagoon Valley Park)

• Day of registration is available in person for $45 (cash, credit card, vemo or apple pay accepted)

• We will do our best to have t-shirts for last minute registrants, but we can't guarantee that we will have your preferred size

• Bandanas will be available (free) for all dogs at our "Bling Station." We have a zesty variety of sizes, colors and patterns. Also, all dogs who are SPCA alumni will be given a special bandana!

• Food, drink and other goodies will be available

• Raffle tickets available for purchase throughout the event ($5 per ticket or $20 for 5 tickets - cash, credit card, venmo or apple pay accepted)

Dog Contests

All dog contests listed below are open to anyone who would like to participate. An announcement will be made before the start of the contests around 10:30 am. There is no additional charge to enter a contest. 
It is just for fun!

Activities

• Face-Painting by Leading Edge Art Club - Natomas Charter School

• K9 Demonstrations by Rotts of Friends, Chief Solano Kennel Club, and Powerhouse K9

• Vallejo Dog Training Club will do a Rally demonstration and participants can run their own dogs through if they would like to try it!

• Photo Booth
• Raffle Table ($5 per ticket or 5 for $20 - cash, credit card, venmo or apple pay accepted)

Paws for a Cause Dog-Walk-a-thon

Join us for our 3rd annual Paws for a Cause Dog-Walk-a-thon. Bring your dog, friends, family and walk Lagoon Valley lake. Create a team or go solo! A dog is not required to walk. Can't make the event? You can support an individual or team or donate!
