I think playing outside with Billie on chadbourne ave is probably one of my first memories. We grew up together as part of the neighborhood gang. In those days, all free time was spent outdoors, no matter how hot or cold or snowy it was. I remember that his family seemed somewhat “exotic” because maybe their Norwegian grandfather lived with them? So very sad that he died so young. I think of his family whenI go back to Madison and hope they are well.
