John Joseph McEllen, age 57, of Palos Park, IL, formerly of Elmhurst, IL, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 13, 2009 at home after a long battle with cancer.

Loving husband of Jackie McEllen, nee McKenzie; dear father of Casey McEllen; grandfather of Gillian; devoted son of Ruth E., nee Burns, and the late Arthur McEllen; brother of Ruth M. McEllen, Jane (Keith) Keller, Mary (Bob) Tyson, Mike (Laura) McEllen, Cathy (Rick) Krueger, Vivian (Steve) Howeler, Anne (Ralph) Rosillo and the late Jimmy McEllen; also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Stephen W. Mead, age 69, a resident of Wheaton, died on May 7, 2021, peacefully at home with his wife Marj at his side. He was born April 10, 1952 in Oak Park, Illinois to Gilbert & Martha Mead.

The oldest of four boys, Steve grew up in a family where he learned the love of music from his father, Gil, and the love of reading from his mother, Martha. Family conversations over meals were a central part of his childhood, times when the four brothers competed to see who could make their father laugh the hardest. Donna Marie Melby Wilson, 52, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, April 25,2004. Donna was born in Elmhurst, IL to the late Josephine and Harold Melby.

She graduated from Northern Illinois University and taught the sciences in Jr. High School, High School and College. She later earned a Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse and did extensive research on fish in the Mississippi River. Recently, she taught college biology and chemistry at E.C. Glass High School. She volunteered with Cub Scout Troop 10, Habitat for Humanity and the Association of University Women.

Terry Moore

Terrence Lee "Terry" Moore, 56, formerly of Elmhurst, passed away January 30, 2009, in Arizona, where he had lived for the past 16 years. Born August 21, 1952, in Elmhurst, he was the son of Theodore K. and Margaret Elliot Moore.

Terry attended Yorkfield and Elmhurst schools and was a graduate of York Community High School. He was a member of Yorkfield Presbyterian Church. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed informal games of softball and football with friends.

Survivors include two brothers Timothy (Peggy) and Theodore (Sherri); a sister Tracy (Patrick) Miners; many nieces and nephews, all living in the Phoenix area. Both his parents are deceased.

John W Mulholland, Jr, age 73, of Willowbrook, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes on December 1, 2024. He was the devoted son of the late Jack and late Mary Edith (nee Barrett) Mulholland; loving brother of Nora, Susan (the late Guy) Nodot and Edward Mulholland; dear uncle of Alex Nodot; cousin and friend of many.
