She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Grant S. John Niemeyer, age 68, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. John and his wife Vonnie were involved in an auto accident which took the life of John and severely injured his wife.

John moved down to Missouri from Rochelle, Illinois about 19 years ago to run his Dairy Queen businesses in Lauri and Osage Beach. After selling both businesses, he semi-retired and went to Culver’s in Osage Beach where he enjoyed working.

On December 13, 2014, John married the love of his life, Vonnie. They lived in the Village of Four Seasons.

Caryn S. Leahy nee Nyberg, age 67, of Homewood passed away on December 20 at her home with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of Jerrold Leahy. Loving mother of Jerrold Leahy II and Brendan (Kathi) Leahy. Cherished grandmother of Elliott and Emilia. Dear sister of Jack (Marianne) Nyberg and Cathy (Kevin) Lidgus. Fond aunt of Adam Lidgus, Jamie Uczen, Moira Leahy, and Sinead Leahy-Harrison.

Caryn was a 1970 Graduate of York High School and 1974 graduate at Western Illinois University with a B.A. in Education. From 1985-2016 she worked at Eisenhower Cooperative Care Program (a program for students with emotional disturbances in Crestwood, IL).
