Larry Cole Wearth, 61, of Tempe, Ariz., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, surrounded by his family.
Larry was born June 15, 1954, in Ames, Iowa, to Marion “Jake” and Betty (Thorne) Wearth. He graduated in 1973 from Ames High School.
Larry worked for the Ames school system prior to moving to Tempe in 1993.
As an avid Ames High and ISU fan, Larry closely followed the Little Cyclones and ISU football, basketball, and wrestling.
Larry is survived by his wife, Christine (Groff) Wearth, of Tempe; their children, Jackson Wearth and Nikki Wearth, both of Tempe; granddaughter, Brooklynn Ross of Tempe; brothers, Steve (Pam) Wearth of Montpelier, Iowa, and Jeff (Sheree) Wearth of Oregon; and sisters, Chris (Ed) Burns of Van Meter, Iowa, and Kathy (Don) Necina of Bethlehem, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Jake Wearth.
A celebration of life will be on Oct. 10 at Encanto Park in Phoenix, Ariz., where family and friends will share their love and friendship for Larry.
