1945-10-15 2022-03-11Louis A. Pelton, 76, of Eastlake, died March 11, 2022. He was born October 15, 1945 in Findlay, Ohio. Mr. Pelton worked as an Industrial Arts teacher for 41 years – at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School and Westlake City Schools. He enjoyed anything to do with plants and flowers especially Dahlias and Elephant Ears. (He disliked it when his kids threw tomatoes… it spreads seeds.) He was a proud and long-time member of the Gardeners of Greater Cleveland. JOSEPH Radican, 72, died May 31 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve from complications of melanoma.
Joseph Aloysius Radican was the first lay principal of St. Joseph High School, back when it was the biggest boys’ Catholic school in Ohio. He also led Lake Catholic High School and was named regional principal of the year by the National Catholic Education Association.
"His voice was very deep and commanding," said St. Joseph alumnus Tim Robertson, Jr., who studied history with Radican. "He was a very articulate man who knew his history."

Alfred F. Srp, a St. Joseph High School teacher and administrator, and a World War II Army veteran, died Thursday at home. He was 74.
During his 35 years at St. Joseph, he taught biology, horticulture, math, science and typing. He also served as vice principal and disciplinarian and was inducted into the St. Joseph Hall of Fame.
Mr. Srp was born in Cleveland and graduated from John Adams High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree from John Carroll University.

Funeral Mass for Robert J. Turoczy, age 71, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township.
Mr. Turoczy died March 7, 2011.
Born June 24, 1939, in Cleveland, he lived in Willowick before moving to Painesville 20 years ago.
He was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
After 42 years of service, Mr. Turoczy retired in 2005 as a teacher at Lake Catholic High School in Mentor and a former teacher at St. Joseph High School in Cleveland.
