Most unique school memory: In 10th grade, the girls were only allowed to wear pants to school on Fridays when there was a football game. I can't remember when that changed, 11th grade or senior year?
Favorite hobbies or pastimes?: | Hiking, reading, travel |
Have you traveled or lived in any other countries?: Never had the chance to live anywhere else, but lots of travel. I've visited many European countries, Thailand, Iceland, Norway, a few different Caribbean islands, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, and spent a day in Japan.
What have been your greatest joys, challenges, or accomplishments?: Like many others, family has brought the greatest joys and I feel very lucky.
What would people be surprised to know about you?: I have read Finnegan's Wake, Infinite Jest, and all 7 volumes of Proust's In Search of Lost Time. I knit baby blankets and hats for my daughters and all of their friends.
Are you still in contact with any fellow classmates?: A few.
Please share a favorite high school memory?:
-Ski club trips to the UP. -Mr. Kielty standing in the hall and sniffing the air as students went by and saying, "I know what that is, that's that patrouli oil." -Realizing the teachers gossiped about us when Mr. Gustafson made a comment in Algebra class about me dating his tennis team captain. |
